TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR APPFOLIO FUTUREIST AWARDS SUBMISSION

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your nomination for an eligible business customer to participate in AppFolio’s FUTUREIST Awards Submission (the “Competition”). By proceeding to nominate an Eligible Business Customer for the Competition, you agree to comply with these Terms.

THE APPFOLIO FUTUREIST AWARDS COMPETITION

The AppFolio FUTUREIST Awards Submission is a competition for which Eligible Business Customers (as defined below) are nominated via a valid entry application submitted through the awards website. The Competition is intended to enable Eligible Business Customers to showcase their commitment to philanthropy, to win a prize in the Competition. The focus of the FUTUREIST Awards is on recognizing customers for outstanding efforts to give back to their communities.

NOMINATIONS

An Eligible Business Customer is a current AppFolio Property Manager and/or Investment Manager customer, who must be attending FUTURE 2025.

Nominations must be submitted through the awards website during the submission period. Please do not include any Confidential Information in your nomination. AppFolio may reject any nomination that it believes: (i) contains unlawful or offensive content, or (ii) may infringe any third-party rights; or (iii) breaches these Terms.

THE APPFOLIO FUTUREIST AWARD

There will be three categories in the competition: FUTUREIST in Community, FUTUREIST in Housing, and FUTUREIST in Leadership. There will be one ‘winner’ in each category, and two ‘runner-ups.’ The winners shall receive a $15,000 grant to the charity of their choosing, made by AppFolio on their behalf. The runner-ups shall receive a $5,000 grant to the charity of their choosing, made by AppFolio on their behalf. All winners and runner-ups shall receive two (2) passes to FUTURE 2025 .

No cash alternative to any prize. The winner shall not assign any right or liability under these terms and conditions without prior written consent from AppFolio. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be resold. Passes to FUTURE must be used only by the AppFolio customer, and employees of the customer, that the pass was awarded to. Passes cannot be used by a guest of the customer. AppFolio reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equal or greater value. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by AppFolio, the prize will only be awarded to the winner. Prizes are provided subject to any applicable local laws.

In addition to the prizes, the winners will be announced on the Main Stage at FUTURE. Runner-up winners will not be announced on stage. Attendance at FUTURE is mandatory in order to win the Competition.

Winners may be asked to participate in brand amplification and promotional opportunities (subject to terms for acceptance of this prize as captured in a final agreement between the winner and AppFolio). Winners who accept this price grant AppFolio an irrevocable right to use all information provided in the submission, in addition to marketing materials related to the Competition including but not limited to: winner’s company logo, photos and videos from FUTURE, and quotes given in relation to the Competition.

COMPETITION PROCESS AND JUDGING PANEL

Following the close of the nomination period, all entries will be collated, eligibility verified, and reviewed by a judging panel consisting of chosen representatives from AppFolio and previous Competition winners (the “Judging Panel”). The Judging Panel shall anonymize the nominations, and select finalists based on predetermined criteria and scoring metrics. Finalists will be notified that they have been shortlisted by AppFolio. AppFolio reserves the right to seek additional information or clarifications from the Finalists, if necessary. Any entrant may withdraw from the Competition at any time.

The winners of the Competition will be selected from the shortlist of Finalists by the Judging Panel using the same predetermined criteria as in the Finalist selection process. Winners will be notified that they have won a prize and will be asked to provide additional information in relation to the award of the prizes. Winners are asked to provide the requested information contained in the notification email within a specified timeframe. Winners can not share publicly that they have won the FUTUREIST award until after the official announcement at FUTURE 2025.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

AppFolio will handle your personal information in accordance with the AppFolio privacy statement. These terms are incorporated with our General AppFolio Terms of Service, in addition to the obligations outlined in each customer’s Order Form.
